I have painted for almost as long as I can remember, my skills are a mixture of taught and self taught and much of my inspiration comes from the varied and beautiful Welsh countryside where I live with my husband who is also an artist (a sculptor).

I work mainly in oils, my technique involves building slowly up in thin layers of paint which takes a long time to do but it is something I actually enjoy doing!

Wales is a country that is rich in folklore and fairytale and the sense of magic is something which I think is almost tangible, and this is what I try to capture a little of in my paintings. Although I work mainly in oils I also enjoy using watercolours and pastels.
